Public Skating Across Grey-Bruce
If you're looking for something low-key this March break, lace up. There's public skating running all week across the region. Details in the community calendar.

Sponsored Spotlight
Neustadt Springs Brewery - Neustadt

The brewery has been here since 1859, making it one of the oldest in Ontario.
But you don't go just for the beer. Underneath the building there's a network of underground caverns and tunnels carved out of limestone over 100 years ago. They lead down to the natural spring, about eight metres below street level. You can see it all on a guided tour. It takes about an hour, costs five bucks, and runs on weekends. Book ahead because spots are limited.
After the tour, the taproom is the move. Grab a flight, try a few things, pick up some tallcans on the way out. It's family-owned and you can tell. The kind of place where you walk in as a visitor and leave feeling like a regular.

Community Calendar
Our Community Calendar covers Grey & Bruce Counties. It’s a large area, so if we missed an event we are sorry, we will do better next time!

Our Community Calendar was getting a bit too enthusiastic. Turns out stuffing a week’s worth of local fun into one email makes for a very long scroll.
So we’ve given it its own space! Click the button below to check out the full lineup of events this week.
Foodie Flash
Station 87 - Meaford

Someone looked at a fire hall from 1887 in Meaford and said "that should be a restaurant." Ten years of restoration later, Station 87 Kitchen &
Bar opened late last year. And honestly? They were right.
Get the Tableside Grilled Caesar. They make it right beside you and it's the kind of thing you'll tell people about after. The Mushroom Pizza
with truffle oil and crispy fried sage is a strong backup. The building has four different spots to eat: main floor, upstairs, rooftop patio, and
a wine cellar. If you just want something quick, The Market Side has a more casual vibe.
Open 7 days a week, 8am to midnight. 26 Nelson St E, Meaford.
Hidden Gem of the week
The Farmhouse Shop - Mildmay

There's a little shop on Elora Street in Mildmay that most people don't know about yet. The Farmhouse Shop is the kind of place you stumble into and immediately wish you'd found sooner.
Carrie Fortney started selling at craft shows out of her place in Neustadt. Enough people kept showing up that she got a real storefront. She makes the wreaths and arrangements herself. The rest of the shop is local candles, stone art, cheese, seasonal stuff, and vintage finds. It's one
of those spots where you go in for "just a quick look" and come out 40 minutes later with a full bag.
Carrie also does in-home decorating consultations if you want help beyond what you can carry out the door. Find them at 78 Elora Street in
Mildmay, or check their Facebook page to see what's new.
