Dinner + Drinks + A Show

Join us on Saturday, November 22 at the Cargill Community Centre for an all-in-one evening hosted by the Walkerton Capitals Jr. C Hockey Club.

Enjoy a gourmet dinner from Harley’s Pub & Perk, then let loose with the party-starter performance of the year: the The Great Canadian Dueling Pianos.

Two pianos, two performers, and one crowd-participation show that’ll have you singing, laughing and dancing the night away.

Doors open at 5 PM, dinner starts at 6, and the show kicks off at 8. Tables of 8 are $1,000 (just $125 per person) — limited availability.

Full Weekly Calendar

Community Calendar

Our Community Calendar covers Grey & Bruce Counties. It’s a large area, so if we missed an event we are sorry, we will do better next time!

We had a bit of trouble with the community calendar this week. So we will be updating as the week goes on. Be sure to check back for updates!

Foodie Flash

Blackbird Pie Company – Heathcote

There’s something about Blackbird Pie Company in Heathcote that just feels like fall.

The smell of butter, cinnamon, and flaky crust hits you before you’re even through the door.

Their handmade sweet and savoury pies are legendary in Beaver Valley. The kind of comfort food that makes you want to pull over, grab a slice, and watch the leaves change.

Hidden Gem of the week

Desboro General Store

Blink and you’ll miss it, but that’s part of the charm.

The Desboro General Store is one of those small-town stops that feels frozen in time, in the best possible way. Step inside and you’re greeted by shelves of local goodies, homemade loaves, and the smell of fresh coffee drifting through the air.

It’s the kind of place where the owner might ask how your day’s going, and actually mean it. Whether you’re grabbing a snack on a country drive or just chasing that bit of old-fashioned Grey County warmth, this little shop’s worth the detour.
