Trade your couch for cliffs this fall: join Bruce Peninsula guides for moon-lit hikes under star-drenched skies, squeeze through secret caves, or tackle Ontario’s only outdoor “Forest Escape” game with your crew.

Community Calendar
Our Community Calendar covers Grey & Bruce Counties. It’s a large area, so if we missed an event we are sorry, we will do better next time!

Our Community Calendar was getting a bit too enthusiastic. Turns out stuffing a week’s worth of local fun into one email makes for a very long scroll.
So we’ve given it its own space! Click the button below to check out the full lineup of events this week.
Foodie Flash
Trixie’s Saloon - Ayton

Planning a Grey-Road detour? Swing into Trixie’s Saloon in Ayton and bring your appetite. My recommendation: start with the legendary Ratch Attack (if you have a group). A share-worthy mound of pizza rolls, Tex-Mex fries, cheddar bites, mac-’n’-cheese bites and tater-tot “Spudz”.
Be sure to save some room for the small (for some reason the small is better than the large) “Trixie’s Signature” pizza. It’s chewy-charred crust is layered with a garlic-aioli base, chicken breast, bacon, spinach and sweet red-onion rings. This might be the best pizza I have ever had.. Pair it with a pint from the rotating local-brew taps and you’ll see why Ayton locals call this their mid-week reset.
Hidden Gem of the week
Snake Trail Boardwalk - Cape Croker Park, Neyaashiinigmiing

A 900-metre sweep of cedar planks. The longest boardwalk on the entire Bruce Trail winds across beaver-dam wetlands and out to Sydney Bay. Giving you eye-level views of lily pads, herons and (if you’re lucky) busy beavers.
Built and cared for by the Chippewas of Nawash, the flat, family-friendly path lets you float through maples and marsh without muddy boots. The two lookout decks are made for thermos coffees and fall-colour photos.
Park at the Cape Croker gatehouse (day-use pass $15), follow the white blazes and be on the water in under five minutes. Binoculars and bug spray strongly recommended.
